Announcing Digital Manufacturing Investor Day 2021

Second event promises the hottest startups in the digital manufacturing industry

Staff Writer

Dyndrite and HP Tech Ventures today announced the second Digital Manufacturing Investor Day (DMID) event, scheduled for January 19, 2021. The event builds from the initial, successful DMID 2020 event held in June 2020.

Digital manufacturing technology has proven critical during 2020, helping to strengthen disrupted supply chains and delivering greater capabilities to essential workers operating at a distance or remotely. But, while the world has been turning more often to digital manufacturing, the opportunities for new and emerging companies to connect with the investment capital have become challenging with the cancellation of in-person events.

Dyndrite’s Digital Manufacturing Investor Day provides a virtual space where startups have the chance to pitch their innovative solutions to venture capital and investment firms at a critical juncture in their development. The first event connected 12 of the hottest emerging companies and more than 80 VC firms from around the globe.

“Startups are the lifeblood of the dynamic digital manufacturing industry. HP Tech Ventures is excited to be working with Dyndrite to deliver the second Digital Manufacturing Investor Day event,” said James Taylor, Venture Partner at HP Tech Ventures. “The pandemic continues to impact startups’ ability to raise capital. DMID provides a  vibrant forum where investors and startups can connect to fuel continued innovation and growth.”

DMID 2021 adds a live panel comprised of leading investment and industry experts who will convene to discuss the state of the industry, while providing feedback and guidance to the presenting companies live during the event. Panelists include:

  • Amar Hanspal, CEO, Bright Machines
  • Ron Fritz, CEO, Tech Soft 3D
  • Avinash Ragoobur, President & Chief Strategy Officer, Arrival Ltd
  • Heidi Roizen, Partner, Threshold Ventures
  • James Taylor, Venture Partner, HP Tech Ventures
