Digital Manufacturing Investor Day 2021 - Start the Year Right

Over 85 investor firms, and more than 200 industry press and manufacturing experts from around the world can’t be wrong - the inaugural Digital Manufacturing Investor Day was a success.

“Dyndrite’s Digital Manufacturing Investor Day was very beneficial for Voxel8 as we were preparing for a Series B+ fund raise. In addition to connecting with potential investors, we expanded our network of other additive companies with whom we explored collaboration opportunities and even ended up with a new board advisor! I’d highly recommend the event to any startup.”
Friedrich von Gottberg, President and CEO, Voxel8

Conceived by Harshil Goel, Dyndrite’s CEO, Digital Manufacturing Investor Day (DMID) came about once he realized the negative impact the cancellation of in-person events would have on emerging companies in the midst of their capital raise. "At a time when additive manufacturing’s value is clear, now is the best time to shine the spotlight on those thinking differently and solving systemic issues within the industry. We’re at a key inflection point in market adoption and usage expansion of digital manufacturing and industry leadership is needed to ensure the continued health and growth of emerging companies within this space,” asserted Harshil Goel, CEO of Dyndrite.

Following up on the success of the inaugural DMID 2020, Dyndrite, along with HP Tech Ventures, has decided to host a second DMID 2021 event, to be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

This year’s event promises to be even more impactful, featuring a discussion on the future of digital manufacturing by a panel of industry investors and successful entrepreneurs, including partners from Threshold Ventures and co-host HP Tech Ventures as well as CEOs from several hot companies, such as Arrival,  an electric vehicle startup which just announced going public at a $5.4 billion valuation, Bright Machines, which is melding robotics with computer vision and machine learning as part of their Microfactory, and Tech Soft 3D, who recently acquired Visual Kinematics and Ceetron as part of the company’s growth strategy.

The all-star industry panel at DMID 2021 will act as a sounding board for companies pitching during the event. Each panelist will offer feedback and ask the critical questions entrepreneurs must be able to answer. Investors in attendance will also be given information on the startups ahead of the event to understand more about each company, team, and technology. Attendees are invited to schedule follow-on meetings to further get to know each company. The time for each of the selected companies to present has been expanded to facilitate a more in-depth conversation and questions will be allowed from the general audience. Our goal is to ensure an engaging, interactive event that raises the understanding of where new technologies in digital manufacturing are headed.

“DMID 2020 offered us a unique opportunity to share our vision and our ultrafast simulation technology with investors, customers, and peers who are passionate about improving the digital ecosystem for manufacturing. We've formed great collaborations and partnerships with attending companies that lead to a larger impact together. DMID is a must-attend event if you are related to digital manufacturing,”
Runze Huang, Co-Founder and CEO of ExLattice
